As someone from Tupelo which is in the 1st District I would like to apologize for the poor choice the majority of voters in my district made tonight. I feel like Dr Evil when I say “I’m surrounded by frigin idiots!”
You have the same voters in Tupelo that most of the country has. All they know to do is vote “D” when they are dissatisfied with standpat “R”s. The inept GOP is committing suicide, just as Thaddeus Stevens said in 1866 that the South had committed suicide by secession. Much of this blame also rests on disorganized Republican voters many of them also as dumb as rocks.
