Yep once again:

1. The failure of conservative commentators

2. Conservative bloggers

to defend a conservative president, come back to haunt them. Of course they choose to blame the President who is not running for reelection. But then again this is the GOP history. They threw Nixon to the wolves and were blown out in 1974. The Dims on the other hand defended the indefensible with Clinton and minimized their losses. But go ahead, blame the most conservative president since prior to WWII.

Old history. But Nixon threw himself to the wolves.

“But go ahead, blame the most conservative president...”

Open borders, massive increases in deficit spending, new entitlement programs, free trade, and mishandling the early stages of the Iraq War. That’s conservative? Bush is not blameless.

Why should conservative commentators defend Bush when he doesnt defend himself?

This is the man who invited Teddy Kennedy over to watch a movie when he was calling him a liar and the man who sat back and watched himself get blamed for a Hurricane.

People like Limbaugh and Hannity defended Bush through a lot of things they should have blasted him on.

Yes the media is liberal and has helped destroy the Bush presidency, but the inability of the Bush White House to effectively communicate, fight back, defend itself, is the reason he and the party are in the position they find themselves in. TO suggest this is anyones fault other than Bush is just totally misplaced blame.
