I agree. Bad campaining by the Republicans. Why on earth would they bring in Cheney to campaign for anyone?? Even in conservative Mississippi.

The Republicans could have won this seat in most years...however, since 2006...it is getting harder and harder.

This seat went for Bush over Kerry by over 25 points. Tonight the Dem beat the Republican by 9. This wasn't a bad Republican candidate either. In 4 years we have a 30 point electoral shift. It's very scary.

Cheney wasn't the only Republican to campaign -- Mike Huckabee, Roger Wicker, Trent Lott, Haley Barbour etc all campaigned.
