This wasn’t a swing-district — it’s R+10, and the Dems who are there are awfully conservative.

It’s not a R+10, a Republican, or even a swing district now. It’s a Democrat district. UGH.

“the Dems who are there are awfully conservative.”

Maybe but anyone who caucuses with Pelosi isn’t awfully conservative. They’re hiding something.

If "it’s R+10, and the Dems who are there are awfully conservative", this means that many, many southern congressional districts that are in the vicinity of R+10 right now could well be in play. As Election Day approaches, numbers will tighten, but if I were Mike Duncan I'd have to be preparing to lose most southern and heartland distrricts that are R+5.

According to PSI, polling in MI-1 shows that it was not traditional conservative issues but the economy, gas prices and the Iraq war that are driving Republicans to either stay home or, worse, jump the fence.
