It’s big.

It’s got it’s own Wiki page!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derby_pie

Personally, I would eat something called “Kentucky Bourbon Pie” and shy away from something called “Derby Pie”...

Guy was an idiot. He should have just sold it with a sign next to it.

"Better than a Derby"

That way anyone that actually KNEW what a derby pie could come up and have some. And no infringement.

Derby Pie
1 cup Sugar
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs (beaten)
1 cup english walnuts
1 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup melted butter (1 stick)
1 ready-made pie crust

Mix flour and sugar. Add eggs, then butter. Add nuts, chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
Pour mixture into an unbaked pie shell.

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35 - 45 minutes. Test with tooth pick; pie should be chewy but not runny — Bake longer, if necessary.

Kentucky Bourbon Pie
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
3 to 4 tablespoons bourbon
1/4 cup corn starch
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate bits

Combine the eggs, sugar, melted butter and bourbon. Add the cornstarch to the mixture, blending in slowly.
Stir in the pecans and chocolate bits. Pour into an unbaked 9 inch pie shell.

Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree F. oven for approximately 45 minutes.
