True to an extent, but W left a void in the public square. His idea of the new tone meant don;t engage. I think it was a disaster. He had the bully pulpit, and refused to use it, Reagan would never have done that.

"Global warming has “been more clearly defined as a problem” during his eight years in office, and when asked if it is real, Bush said: “Yes, it is real, sure is.”

How can anyone spell this out any clearer?
McLame is touting the same crap, if George was anywhere on his game he would at least discredit it based on recent scientific information.

The Dems are comparing McLame to another term of Bush, can't he even let him pander to the the mainstream (voters) idiots?

This whole thing is begging me to pray to a Buick.

Maggie Thatcher, one of the world’s last real strong leaders, said it right -— “CONSENSUS REPRESENTS THE LACK OF LEADERSHIP”....and it sure as hell applies to this administration.

Don't forget- Thatcher is the mother of global warming theory.

From article: Bush said he made that decision after the August 2003 bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, which killed Sergio Vieira de Mello, the top U.N. official in Iraq and the organization’s high commissioner for human rights.

“I remember when de Mello, who was at the U.N., got killed in Baghdad as a result of these murderers taking this good man's life,” he said. “I was playing golf — I think I was in central Texas — and they pulled me off the golf course and I said, ‘It's just not worth it anymore to do.’“

At a party long ago, sipping a Tequila Sunrise, got a very distressing phone call. I've never had a Tequila Sunrise since.

I wonder if China is as advanced in knowledge as say, the US, in understanding Earth’s plate movements. I wonder where Tehran stands in understanding it is sitting right atop a monster hot-spot, and with near full nuke capacity....

Well, even if she did fail miserably in her science classes, she was one hell of a great leader, and knew what leadership was, and was not. Too bad we have not had one since Reagan....

When Reagan left office he was (and still is ) hated by the left ...he was also condemned broadly by his right. It reminds me of today quite a bit...It took a few years before people caught up with him and called him a great leader

It shows how stupid and ignorant the voting public is — they cannot tell the difference between a patriotic leader and useless politician, amongst many other opposites.
