Ohio Dems seek impeachment of scandal-scarred AG
heh heh heh
‘Bout Dann (pardon) time! Can’t wait to see who Stickland appoints in his place!
I haven’t been following this... what did this guy do?
From the story.
“Dann admitted an extramarital affair with an employee that he said contributed to an atmosphere leading to the sexual harassment claims.”
Yippee, another Demagogue scumbag bites the dust!! How does the true “Party of Corruption” manage to keep churning out so many Clintons, Spitzfongs, Danns, Bernie Wards, etc. etc? Who’s next in line for political disgrace and obscurity?
another dishonest and depraved Demagogue may finally be on his way out:

Here's some, but certainly not all, of it:
Dann hired a friend/idiot in the Attorney General's office who was totally unqualified to work there. The guy owed a bunch of taxes, including to Ohio, for his failing business. A private business he apparently ran while also working at the AG's office. Plus he smashed up at least two state cars & didn't report the damage. Everyone suspects he was drunk both times. The AG, in fact, picked him up from the police station after a past DUI.
More "scandalously", he hired unqualified women because of their looks then proceeded to sexually harrass them. Often.
This culiminated in him pressuring one of the employees to come to his condo outside of Columbus, while both were drunk. A condo he shared with the AG & another AG crony.
The young woman passed out only to wake up & find her pants buttons undone & Gutierrez (crony #1) next to her, asleep, with his pants off. The AG was at the condo that night, with his own young staffer (more on that).
She reported the sexual harrasment to the AG's HR Dept. So did another woman, who had similar stories to share. The AG's office tried to sweep it all under the rug, before anyone found out.
All the while, questions were being raised as to why the AG's own young staffer was at the condo that night in either pajamas or sweats at 10pm. This eventually lead to the AG admitting one of the worst-kept secrets - he was having an affair with her.
Dan fired some of his cronies. Others resigned. Every day a new layer of scandal on this guy is revealed.
The Dems want to lose him FAST. The Repubs want to keep him around, for obvious reasons.
All of it is very entertaining/sad.
You left off...a whole bunch of ‘em.
My understanding is that there will be special election within six months.
How silly of me. I thought being stupid was not a crime. He has proven it is...Or at least he has proven that being stupid forces a resignation.
Good get rid of these criminal rat AG’s before they become criminal governors or US $inators.
They had to push him out, because of Ohio’s importance in the fall. Wonder what they traded for his resignation.
With Dann being from Youngstown, Ohio, I’m sure he has the dirt on those who are investigating him. He’ll get whatever he wants to go away...
Replacements? Current Lt. Governor Lee Fisher was AG, while best AG assistant is former state Senator Ben Espy. However Strickland is considered a potential VP nominee (although a die-hard Hillary supporter) so he may want Fisher to stay in line to become Governor. But Fisher and Dann are both Jewish, if that is a consideration.
Espy has high integrity. A Woody Hayes football player, former Columbus councilman, served in several AG administrations, African-American, and natural counter-balance to Columbus Mayor Coleman.
If Dann leaves office prior to September 24th there will be an election held at the General in November. But if he hangs on past 9/24 Governor will select someone for the next two years until end of term: http://www.cleveland.com/news/plaindealer/thomas_suddes/index.ssf?/base/opinion/1210408262299340.xml&coll=2
He'll quit in order to keep the Inspector-General out of his affairs. That is, if he can cut a deal. The public will run Dann out long before September. I'm betting he'll be gone by Memorial Day.
Some liberal gal called Hannity’s radio show yesterday and complained about all the sex scandals in the Republican party.
very interesting.. thanks for the brief..
David
I personally like that Gov. Strickland said that their wasn't enough information to impeach him with. People have lost their job for much much less.
