>>>>>The two obvious issues we will be fighting him on will be immigration and globull warming.

Two highly emotional issues. Conservatives fought Bush43 on comprehensive immigration reform and won. If necessary, we can beat McCain on the amnesty issue too. The "Globull" warming issue will take an even bigger effort, I'm afraid.

I can understand why conservatives find McCain so repulsive. We don't trust him, period. That was my position with Giuliani and Romney. Then again, I knew neither would get the nomination. So whether one calls McCain a moderate, a liberal or a socialist, he's definitely got a big challenge ahead of him in getting conservatives to vote for him come November. So far I'm not convinced. We shall see.

If one is entitled to convert an existing loan in default into a new loan, then one will also be entitled to get the better loan at purchase time instead of the subprime loan.

How? The plan applies only to loans in default, where the homeowner can qualify for payments on a conventional 30 year loan. Anyone purchasing a home who qualifies for a conventional 30 year FHA loan can get one now.

We won against Bush because we bypassed him and went directly to our congresscritters...and scared the hell out of them.

We don’t have to fight McCain, just “convince” those who will be voting on the issues.

As I stated, once amnesty is granted he will have to increase taxes to cover the huge incease in payouts.

If you don’t want to discuss the issue like an adult, then go to your room and stand in the corner for a couple of years.

Good post. There definitely is an organized group of at least eight that I have found to disenfranchise conservatives from voting. Great work.

>>>>>We won against Bush ...

I know, that's what I said. Bush, McCain and Kennedy were the ringleaders, however. It wasn't easy, but a united conservative front can be a winner in the end. After all, the Dems have been doing it from the left for decades with great success. Albeit, with falsehoods and obfuscation.

Every time conservatism is offered up to the American people with honesty and intelligence, its a winner. Reagan proved that.

“Helping Americans With The Housing Crisis”

Neat, more socialism.

Some of this is okay, but the “HOME Loans” and “Helping American Confront Higher Living Costs” could have come right out of the DNC. Same thing for means-testing the “Drugs for Geezers” program (which shouldn’t exist in the first place...).
Also he obviously intends to continue protection for US sugar producers.

Now now, socialism is a GOOD thing when proposed by someone with an “R” after their name.

Yes, because looking at McBackstabbers’ history there is no POSSIBLE OTHER REASON(S) to oppose that creep!

Well, he’s already admitted as much.

“I guess McCain would rather keep funding our enemies and allow americans to suffer astronomical gas prices.”

Can you think of a better way to keep wars going in the ME?

Well I don’t know whether I agree or disagree with you.

First you’re gonna have to explain “flamming” to me.

Exactly. Only on this occasion he gave an actual example, which was thoughtful of him. We don’t have to take him at his word anymore.

“McCain may be triangulating the dems and trying to take GW off the table as a wedge issue for them in the campaign.”

You’re way overestimating the mans intelligence and political cunning.

He’s just another pandering politician jumping up and down and waving his hands saying “Me too!!, Me too!!”

All three candidates have platforms that are similar in that each promises he/she will.....eliminate, facilitate, coordinate, flatulate, habituate, situate, barbituate...the American Citizen (senior, middle-class family, middle-class-working family, college student, disavantaged minority, disadvantaged female, disadvantaged immigrant (legal or otherwise) --- everybody but the middle aged white male.

The Democrats are going to pay for all this by raising taxes on the rich (obliquely defined), corporations, big oil, big Blue, big WWW, big any-damn-personal-vice a friggin' liberal don't like. McCain? Well, he's just gonna do all of this by 'fiat' How's he gonna do that? How's he gonna git the majority Senate and House Dims to agree with that? McQueeg's platform is a pipe dream of the improbable meeting the immovable (legislature).

These ad-hoc defenses of him with articles and posts of what he's gonna do are as empty as the polluted, CO2 encrusted, temperature laden air the Bunny Huggers and Tree Kissers tell us we are faced with......
