This was not a cloture vote. Under the unanimous consent agreement to bring the amendment up, it was subject to a 60-vote requirement. It was a straight up-or-down vote on the McConnell-Domenici amendment. McConnell-Domenici got 42 votes.

What great people there!!! My ‘Wonderful’ senator - Mr. Martinez had my vote when he ran, but he doesn’t want to have oil drilling off FLORIDA because it would hurt tourism, but you won’t see the rigs on the beaches of FL - and besides, TOURISM will be hurting if people can’t afford to visit - or have no gas to get here.
