That post of unknown origin (hopefully unknown, otherwise you need another cup of coffee) is from a whacko site devoted to advancing the enviro-socialist agenda of using the “critter du jour” to further take land and further extend government control over people still living on land outside cities.
Check the scientific literature and you will learn the following:
1. There are some 32,000 such puma.
2. The correct scientific name is Felix concolor couguar - forget the old loudly brayed ‘endangered Florida panther subspecies erroneously called coryii.
3. Also forget the 14 other subspecies of that cat in the USA once “known” (by to what turned out to be agency bureau-scientists), ‘cause the DNA sez that ALL puma in the USA are “genetically homogeneous”.
3. Try calling the FloriDUH Wildlife Conservation Commission.
4. Ask for documents detailing the actual number of said cats in Florida.
5. Above all, do accept that one human being attacked by any agency's pampered panther is too high a price to accept.
6. Allowing cats to maul, kill, and eat humans is far too high a price to ask to merely keep Panther Panderers on agency payrolls.
Fawn, I have spent several years, and too many dollars of my own money trying to educate my fellow Americans. History and science are unambiguously clear about the validity of what Homer The Greek wrote a long time ago - that “between Man and lion there can be no compact”.
The authorities know full well what they are doing. Some do it for money. The more evil among them do it because they believe that government should own America's land and they are using the puma (and other critters and plants) to pervert America from a nation of privately owned land to a socialist nation where goobers in the gooberment own and control the land.
May I suggest examining those whose intellectual constructs you are supporting, lest you be rightfully seen as one who supports turning America into a socialist nation.
Please consider whether you want to give intellectual and moral support to AgencyPersons willing to let humans die a horrible death just so that their useless agency jobs will continue.
