As true as far as it goes, but it isn’t as if it is watching some other person’s kid deal with the consequences of his bad decisions. I don’t feel justified in taking any satisfaction or superiority from saying “Hey, you made your bed, now sleep in it.”
This is my bed too, like it or not.
I ask myself a simple question: Who is most pleased by this turn of events?
The answer is simple: Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean, Barack Obama et al are jumping up and down with joy at this development, the same way we would if the dork Nader got into the election. Sure, Barr will get only get maybe 10% of the vote, but without a liberal 3rd party to counterbalance it (or probably even with one)that is the election right there.
If liberals like Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean, Barack Obama et al are for something, I am pretty sure to be against it nearly all the time. Pretty simple.
“the same way we would if the dork Nader got into the election.”
Nader already announced he’s running.
If you can’t vote for the conservative when the other two options are this bad, you will never get a conservative nominated on the Republican ticket.
Lincoln said, ‘I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true.’
The Republicans are going to have to give me someone to vote for instead of someone to vote against if they want my vote. They’ve played that game too many times for it to work on me again.
