the Arabs did far more for the Nazi than that described in the story. Their love of torture and butchery delighted the SS leaders and Arabs were known to be used for such tasks.

Also, the Arabs were a part of the world-wide Nazi espionage network - possibly a parallel organization. All over the world, especially third world places or poor neighborhoods there were, and are, Arab shops that sell sundry merchandise such a work cloths, boots, etc. They provided drop off locations. After the war the same shops were used by the PLO to extract money for Arrafat. Those who came up short received broken bones, and on occasion killed.
