There is no question that the Republicans will try to do to Obama what they did to Dukakis: paint him as a liberal, out of touch with the values of average (white) Americans, so far left that he has left America.

Obama will do this job himself. Wright, Ayers, Michelle - where there is smoke there is fire.

Of course not, no more than the “bad” Willie Horton ad was done by the Bush for President committee.

Actually, wasn't Al Gore the first one to throw the Horton flag on the Duke?

Not really. No one ever accused Dukakis of hating his country.

Obama has far greater negatives than Dukakis ever had. Estrich and her cohorts should stop blaming his negatives on Republicans. They are entirely his creation.

Yes, during the 1988 Democratic primaries, but the MSM has conveniently chosen to omit this fact.

Estrich smells defeat.

One spark of intelligence left in a liberal dim bulb.

This is Clinton's 'Samson' strategy: make Obama unelectable so the wretches in the Dem party will have to nominate Her Thighness in 2012.

However, we have yet to see what the effects of this will be in the down-ticket races-- if most dems get painted with Obama's hammer and sickle in November and alienated Clinton voters (white women) stay at home or vote McCain, they'll lose big.

We'll then be governed wholly by two loser parties of whining wienies. God help us.

I haven't seen anything as disgusting as the Clinton's open appeal to the purported racism of white Americans in American politics in a long, long time.

The irony is, it doesn't work-- the whoite male vote was more evenly split than the white women of black vote in Pennsylvania.

It's not Obama's blackness that losing a substantial portion of the white male American vote, it's his stinking anti-American Marxism as exposed by Rev. Wright's rantings. Clinton's appeals to racism are having no effect, though the WV vote will not be portrayed that way.

Ask any pollster and they’ll tell you that there is no better indication of which party will win an election than the right track-wrong track numbers.

I say it's a stupid number. It doesn't inform as to which direction in the wrong way. So many of us think it's going too liberal, but if we answer a question like that we get painted as being pro-Obama. One more reason I don't even bother to read stories about polls.

Let me go on record here and predict that after he loses there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth about what a racist country we still are.

“From the mouth of none other than Paul Begala..”You can’t win the General Election with just African Americans and Geeks”. Watch for the breakdown of the West Virginia vote tomorrow night.”

.....the WVA vote will be a Clinton landslide...Obama’s base of blacks and eggheads simply doesn’t exist in that state.

If McCain wins, it will be because of Obama's negatives and not McCain's move to the left to get independents to vote for him. The Republican party, however, will utterly fail to recognize this, just at it failed to see the real reason behind its recent losses.

There has been a lot of talk about racism. Most of it is directed at Whites who may not vote for Obama because he is black. I would like to know however when Obama consistently gets over 90 % of the black vote why that is not discussed in the context of racism. Are whites the only racists?

Probably not if the polls are right. For example:

"...WASHINGTON - A new Gallup survey found that 61% of Jewish voters prefer Obama to McCain, who got 32% of the Jewish support

I have a hard time with that Jewis poll. With Obama’s ties to Farakhan and Wright who are strident anti semites, why would they favor him? Don’t they know he has been endorsed by Hamas?

Same question I have asked. Never get a real answer—just platitudes about voter habit and so forth.

IMHO it boils down to a strong anti-Christian antipathy as much as anything else. This seems to overwhelm everything which is surprising.

Exactly: that's why it's ironic that the MSM keeps pointing to 'white racism' when it's in fact the racism of blacks that has kept Obama in the race and gender blinders of white women that have kept HRC in the race.

The most reasonable demographic segment is white males.

Makes me wonder if extending the franchise was such a good idea :-).
