1) Many Jews are so used to being victims that they are not comfortable any other way. 2) Liberalism substitutes Judaism. 3) Some Jews simply hate other Jews. 4) Obama will be good for Israel because he will be so hostile that it will shock Israelis out of their passive mentality, forcing them to stand on their own two feet instead of depending on other countries. Fight or die.
But make no mistake, Obama will be terrible, terrible for America.
With the proper intellectual nurturing, modern conservatism can substitute Judaism as well, or supplement Judaism very compatably. I'm sure the Jewish FReepers would agree.
