blacks are more interested about what any party is going to do for them now then they are old history.

the fact that they don't see the social programs of the 60s was harmful to them is hard to overcome

i am currently reading some slave narratives written in the 1920s

slaves recounting the past were also lamenting that the GOP never live up to their Freedom promises either and then the New Deal came along and snared blacks...especially Northern ones.

It's not hard to go back in history to the Federalists and anti-Federalists and see where either party was wrong

I know this sorta talk is great for politically correct GOP who love to bash my region and parse everything political through race but beyond that it's just history.

Now if the GOP ever manages over 10% with blacks again then they can rewrite that as they see fit but the only way that happens anytime soon is to nominate a black liberal for GOP Potus candidate....we're half way there now

I watched this interview and it was pretty good. My only problem w/ it was the author favors repartations and I truly believe that is a mistake.

Reparations will do blacks no good whatsovere, they will only postpone the ultimate realization among blacks that they have to fend for themselves, just like every other race has figured out.

Can Rev. Jeremiah Wright say the same?

It’s about time someone did a study of this. Historically, the Dems were always on the side of the slaveholders and the segregationists.
