Wow, what a collection of cant, short-sightedness, and sloganeering, full of nonsense pulled right out of the author's hindquarters like:

If we blame the war for only $10 of the $80–$90 rise in the price of a barrel of oil since 2003, that would still come to $200 million a day.

Is he saying that without the war, leaving in power a regime that did nothing but invade its neighbors, the situation would be *more* stable? And current Iraqi oil production exceeds that of Saddam's Iraq anyway.

The author made a good point about former Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld. He did a sh!t job of planning the occupation of Iraq!
