Farmers asking for another handout.

If the idea made economic sense they’d do it without a subsidy from the electric company.

Customers sign up to pay an additional fee of four cents for every kilowatt hour (kWh) of electricity they buy through the voluntary Cow Power program, which goes to participating farms.

They did something like that here too for several years, for wind power.

Now it's mandatory.
