Two Hollywood actors as reporerted by Airheadiana Huffington? OK. I think we’re talking “credibility gap” here.

The question is credibility.

Whom do you find more credible — some Hollywood actors and Arianna Huffington or McCain.

Another important thing to note is that they did NOT report this at the time it supposedly happened — that alone detracts significantly from their credibility. They just curiously remembered this 8 years later, when McCain became the Republican nominee.

When Democrats are not above going as far as forging documents (remember the “fake but accurate” report about Bush’ National Guard record) how can you believe they wouldn’t lie, when they don’t even have to produce any proof, just their word against that of McCain.

HORSE HOCKEY!

It’s because of this vote against the fears of the opposition that has degenerated the integrity of this party in the first place. Obama will not and cannot destroy anything. There are still too many of us around to stop him.

Try voting for real candidates with real Conservative principles first. Settling for less based on unrealistic fear is only the cowards way out! It’s time to become the Adult party again and take charge of this country, like Reagan did.

If we have to lose one term to do that, then it is the responsible thing to do, if it means we will be rid of the Socialists who now control the RNC!

Hey.. I wasn’t around for the Carter administration, but I heard it was really bad. The Messiah cannot destroy the U.S. single-handedly, but he came make life quite miserable for four to eight years. Plus, even more worrisome... the RNC doesn’t have a great farm team... So it’s conceivable that it could be sixteen/ twenty years before another R is elected. Who is this awesome conservative candidate that you are advocating?? Because from my standpoint, he/ she really doesn’t exist. There aren’t really any backbenchers in Congress coming up with innovative ideas or any innovative governors thinking about next-gen. conservative ideas.

McCain really is the only thing standing in the way of a pretty bad calamity. That being said, it’s unlikely that he’s going to be able to pull off this win. The Messiah is going to be able to define him with his extra gobs of $$ and sheepeople might just vote for the Messiah to spite Bush.

“The question is credibility.

“Whom do you find more credible — some Hollywood actors and Arianna Huffington or McCain.”

FocusNexus, you asked me an honest question, and I will give you my honest answer.

I don’t find some Hollywood actors and Arianna Huffington or McCain credible. Period. They are all equal liars.

That’s the problem, it is only a fantasy that McNasty stands in the way of anything other than Conservatism.

This economy will tank even with your saviour McCain in office. In fact he has done and will do the same thing the Democrats would do to accelerate the process.

But more important than that, Conservatives and the GOP will get ALL the blame for the mess instead of the Democrats and RINOs like McCain who created it in the first place. And that will virtually destroy any chance we will have to correct it starting in 2010.

The RNC also sees the complete lack of funding coming in from our kind. You don’t think they know or see the message we are sending them? They are starting to fear their future jobs and positions with this party and know full and well what we expect. Definitely NOT “more of the same” and countless dedicated Conservatives like myself are sending them e-mails, letters and formally pulling funding with a full understanding as to why!

A whole lot of republicans voted for McCain and I take it you figure their votes don’t count but your own.

It’s not too late you know. You can always join or create your own party. You could call it “I am more conservative than you watch me cry” party. Yea... That’s it. You and a bunch of other people who call yourselves “conservatives” can hold sulking contests and cry on each other’s shoulders when things don’t go your way.

Do post me a message and let me know how things work out OK?

Not at all, while you sit blissfully in the unprincipled Mushy-Middle, the country is falling into the abyss of Socialism. And like boiling a frog, you are happily taking part and going out of your way to speed up the process.

Well, come November you will plainly what see what it means to do the MCCain thing, and spit in the faces of your most dedicated warriors. They (WE) simply won’t show up for the battle because we can no longer distinguish the Enemy from an Alie.

The MSM realize that Conservatives struck back against the Daily Kos types who rigged our primaries with stupid McCain votes. We launched Operation Chaos to great effect, and now the MSM b@st@rds want the RNC divided up like the DNC is.

The DNC division has fast become a racist's war with increasing sensitivity by the day.

It's delicious to watch because it couldn't happen to a more deserving group of jerks.

That line makes me think of Jim Traffcant, beam me up. I think in prison he’d make a better president than McCain or Obama.

Of course he campaigned for Bush, that means as much as when Hillary campaigns for Obama. Does anyone think she’ll actually vote for him?

Wonder how effective a write-in campaign would be in the age of the internet?

There were more crossover RATS than repubs, so take it out on them.

“As bad as he is, he is better than than the alternative.” And that’s the bottom line! We cannot allow Barack Hussein to run and destroy the US.

What makes you think McCain won't destroy the US? He's going to LaRaza to make nice. Why not just let Obama win and destroy the Democrats' image for a generation?

Bull crap. You nor your vote are worth more than the next person. You’re entire shtick is the same as those in the Daily Kos.

It is a simple fact that who ever you THOUGHT would make a viable candidate just simply didn’t make the cut this time around for what ever the reason and you have to the next election cycle to ensure that happens and sitting on your lazy butt crying will not get it done. Until then, I suggest you grow up and leave the childish insults at your own front door.

Our only hope is to rebuild the Conservative image to the public again. It’s because of RINOs like McNasty, etc, and scandals like those who destroyed our chances in 2006, not to mention a Party that has lost it’s moral direction

The destructuve force identified and repeatedly named by Barry Goldwater in the 1960's - and please don't ask me to vet his conservative credentials - is the Evangelical right.

IMO they are the elephant in the living room, the destructive force which conservatives have become unwilling to discuss, and indeed the force which has forced such a split this election cycle.

This issue deserves a a book, not an FR screed, but I think it's safe to say that the Values Voters, Social Conservatives, and other hyphenated "conservatives" who are actually Evangelical groups have done everything to split the vote and to turn off a large portion of the independent voting public from this allegedly "conservative" influence.

Quite simply, conservative principles have been coopted by Christian and Evangelical ideals in the mind of voting public.

Again, Barry Goldwater predicted this outcome 40 years ago.
