I looked at several articles on this subject, but unfortunately I didn't see anything on this subject in the English language Japanese press (the local press tends to be more accurate than the international press, although you sometimes have to recognize that in Japan what is said and what is meant are not always the same thing.)

Despite this article's silly foray into reporting on pacifists in Japan and other irrelevant leftisms, this article was probably the best of the international lot on the subject that I saw.
