FEINSTEIN: No, not necessarily at all. The fact of the matter is California is at refining capacity. They couldn't refine more if we had it.Deception! We wouldn't have MORE oil to refine. We would be buying less oil from overseas to refine. We would have the same amount at a cheaper price. WHAT A FREAKIN' LIE.

More to the point, she's an outright liar. Refinery utilisation nationwide is running 83-84 %. Reasonably so, too -- refiners are just barely breaking even on motor gasoline (of course, they're making a killing on every gallon of #2 oil).
However, with ute at 84%, we could very easily ramp refining up another 10%. Feinswine, as usual, is lying out her arse.

Ok, if that is the case (Taken at face value) has this ignoramus controlled by environmentalist ever heard of boats. You know the ones that ship goods overseas. More supply in the world's market will shut up all the speculators and lesson the impact of OPEC.
We have a bunch of control freaks in DC/Local/State government and the electorate keeps voting them in. Any belly aching about gas prices is pure hypocrisy from anyone who votes these “mini” tyrants in.
