Wal-Mart recently announced that it will be video-taping its gun sales and creating a computerized log of purchases for reference when a firearm is used in a crime.
Wal-Mart clerks would thus be alerted and could refuse to make another sale. The recorded images will also be made available to law enforcement as part of any investigation.
The move seems to be an understandable, even commendable a step toward plugging any leaks in the system. And, in fact, it might have been universally heralded if it weren't tied to an organization called Mayors Against Illegal Guns, which was founded and is led by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Wal-Mart's move is part of the Responsible Firearms Retail Partnership program outlined by Bloomberg's cronies.

I stopped purchasing ammunition and/or firearms at Walmart when I bought several boxes of hollow points, and the clerk began quizzing me on what I was going to shoot them in. He claimed he was required to ask me the questions. I told him I was going to shoot them in my BB gun.
Yeah because that’s where the criminals go to get a gun to commit a crime...Walmart. lol
Gun owners/purchasers will resolve this matter. If I’m Walmart, I’m not going to be ordering many firearms for retail sales.
Well, it’s the low price leader! :-)

You’ve reminded me that I was quizzed about the use of ammo at Walmart. This was last year and I was in a hurry to get to an appointment, so not really paying attention. He asked more questions than I now think was necessary for a box of practice rounds for a 38.
Yeah, if I had been thinking, I would have told the punk at Walmart that they were for shooting the next burglar that tries to rob me.
“This story isn’t new, but I can’t believe this paper is calling Wal-Mart’s move “commendable” I call it “reprehensible” and say it’s time to boycott Wal-Mart.”
LOL! Do you even know what a boycott is? Nevermind, I know the answer to that question.
Getting pissed off over nothing and refusing to shop somewhere is not a boycott, it’s a tantrum.
I planned to stop by Walmart after work and get some .22 and 9 mm for target practice.
Forewarned I think my response will be, ‘Nunofyerdambizness’.
Yet another reason to hate Wal-mart! I have been avoiding them for a long time no, and especially since there latest adds are all about going green. Now this! Boycott them!
That's commendable. I'd suggest taking it further though, to the point of avoiding Wal-Mart altogether. My concern is that ceasing only firearms and ammo purchases will only send the signal to Wal-Mart management that firearms and ammo sales are an unprofitable business, which will cause them to cease selling them entirely.
Cutting all Wal-Mart purchases across the board would send a more effective message IMHO: Don't screw with the American gun owner.
The screening mechanism is to detect RFID tags on certain merchandise. It's not a metal detector.
Get a concealed carry permit and carry that wonderful .38 with you! Happiness is a warm gun!
The response was "No Eengleesh."
I left and have never gone back.
When I first heard they were taking photographs of people buying ammo, I decided right then that I would never set foot in one of their stores again.
This is actually a brilliant move to expand Wal mart’s gun market by demonstrating these video concepts. It placates the gun controller and hopefully the states or federal will adopt these video cameras. Bottom line, it may usher regs and new requirements (additional costs) to the small dealers and hopefully force them out of business. Thus Wal Mart may end up being the only gun store in the area. Problem with relying on one low cost corporation for guns, is during a cocktail party the CEO’s spouse may be convinced guns are socially bad, and the next thing you know, the sole corporate gun retailer decides to stop selling guns (despite profits) because the CEO wants to be more acceptable in the elite progressive globalist social crowd.
I wonder what the "red flag" answers are and what their instructions are if they get one of those answers.
Very curious about that now...
We had a Walmart opening yesterday in our neighborhood. All the media were there, reporting on all stations that this Walmart was catering to Hispanics with their products offered. Special foods for Mexican celebrations, clothes, Spanish CDs, etc.
I, myself, think this is highly racist. No one claims to cater to the White person (Caucasian), or even dares to.
