The words of her brother at the end of the article struck a chord with me. I'd always thought that she made anybody she talks to feel like the most important person in the world. I thought it. I didn't say it to her, and now I'll never be able to. If there's anything like that you want to say to somebody, do it now.

Also, please pray for her parents. She was planning to transfer to UNC and live in Chapel Hill where they are. She said to me “I’ll be able to help my mother.” I know Mother’s Day is going to be very difficult for her mom.

I hope those responsible for this suffer in the worst way. No mercy for scumbags!

This seems like a tragic loss. My daughter is also a sophomore at UNCC. She finished her last exam on Wednesday. I don’t know whether they knew each other but I’m sure they crossed paths on campus.
Prayers for the family.
