Every time I think of that subject, I think of Trent Lott, who repeatedly caved in and tried to play nice with the Democrats. The deeper the Democrat minority got, the nastier they became. They outright held their breath and pouted like little children when they didn’t get their way.
The RepubliCAN’Ts just gave in to keep the press off their backs.
