Some don't have moms. May we never forget. I shudder to think how things would have gone for mother and child in Massachusetts had not Haleigh received the benefit of the limelight. I have yet to find whether Gail Garlinger, the new advocate, is a mom, but in her role, she is indeed.

Stoneham - On April 28, Massachusetts Judge Gail Garinger began her new job as the state’s first child advocate.
An employee of the Juvenile Court since 1995, Judge Garinger served for seven years as First Justice for Middlesex County before being appointed by Gov. Deval Patrick. In her new position, she will investigate and oversee the state’s handling of children in state custody and those receiving state services.

Eleven-year-old Haleigh Poutre was beaten by her adoptive mother and stepfather and fell into a coma after DSS had received and dismissed at least 14 prior reports of suspected abuse. Four-year-old Rebecca Riley died of an overdose of psychiatric medications, allegedly given to her by her parents, six months after DSS dismissed a therapist’s concerns she was being overmedicated...........

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A leading post-abortion women's group is upset that Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards exploited Mother's Day for fundraising for the nation's largest abortion business. Planned Parenthood also came under fire for saying promoting abortion is more important than civil rights.
As LifeNews.com reported this week, Richards honored Mother's Day by sharing part of an editorial her daughter wrote saying she got her pro-abortion views from her mother and grandmother, former Texas Gov. Ann Richards.
Richard couldn't wait until the third paragraph of her Mother's Day letter to PPFA supporters to ask them to open their wallets.
"This Mother's Day, I'm honoring that legacy with a Planned Parenthood Federation of America Mother's Day gift. Join me," she wrote.
But Georgette Forney, a co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign and an abortion victim, told LifeNews.com she found the sentiment appalling.........
