ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO
May 7, 2008

Well, it looks like it's the end of the road for Hillary. Time for her to pack up her pantsuits and go back to ... wherever it is she's pretending to be living these days. Now we just have to get rid of the other two. Perhaps if I endorse Obama ...

This week, Bill Clinton lost his second presidential election for a protege.

Ronald Reagan was so popular, he not only won a 49-state landslide re-election for himself, but he also won a symbolic third term for his boob of a vice president, George Herbert Walker Bush (who immediately blew it by breaking his own "no new taxes" pledge).

By contrast, in addition to not being able to get half the country to vote for him in two tries, Clinton's connection to any other presidential candidate spells utter doom. Both his vice president and his wife have been defeated in elections they should have won, but lost because of their unfortunate association with him. The country has spoken. It wants to be rid of the Clintons.

We here in Tennessee were particularly proud of that accomplishment. Of course, we already knew Al Goreghoul is deranged so we had an edge ont he rest of the American voters. And of course, some democrap voters could care less so long as a "D" follows the name and doles are pending to them and theirs.

John McCain is the natural resuilt of:

1. Washington conservative pundits
2. Bloggers like those on FR

failing to defend President G.W. Bush. The beltway pudit couldn’t stand the cocktail party heat and the conservative bloggers are apparently self destructive so they failed stand up to lies about Bush ranging from no WMD were found in Iraq to the economy is terrible.

So after letting the most conservative and best president in a generation and maybe in the last 100 years get savaged unchallenged who did they think the GOP electorate was going turn to? They naturally turned to a maverick member of the GOP not being savaged in the press. Afterall since this conservative president we have now is so bad no on will defend him, the GOP voters naturally turned to a more centerist nominee.

Well Red, the last time the country went semi-socialist under Jimmah Catah, I moved to Australia. Just one year after he was elected, at least they didn't pretend not to be socialist.. At least there were no gas lines at the gas stations as there was here in the states and the jobs were easy to get.

I fear we will get Obama the Muslim/Marxists and then we will never recover or set things right again. At least Australia is not making concessions to the Mussies. Glad the old gal in the Marxists suits is out of the race even though she doesn't seem to know it yet, and her young protege may make her the VP yet. I believe I will check into advance tickets to Aussie Land!

‘Turns out that getting rid of the clintons is the change we’ve all been waiting for.’ ... Should we send a thank you to Barry Hussein Obama for that glorious gift? I’ll settle for sending Ann in to tell him in person, except his security wouldn’t let her get within shouting distance of the magic negro and Michelle’bitterness’Obama would commit an illegal act on sight of Ann.

Freepers don’t deserve those comments. GWB should have had the guts and spine to defend himself and his policies. He sent men and women off to war expecting them to have the guts to defend this country. He should have had the guts to do so himself.

Beware Pundits! Until she is in the grave for a year or two with the tombstone in place, she still has a chance.

Bush has been unable and unwilling to defend the borders of the country. He even wanted amnesty. How crazy is that in the post 9/11 America? His obsession with illegal aliens is bizarre. The biggest threat to this country comes not from Iraq but from open borders. The planes on 9/11 did not take off from Iraq but from American soil.

It turns out getting rid of the Clintons was the change we've been waiting for.

Rumors of her death have been highly exaggerated.

G.W. Bush is not running this time. He had no reason to defend himself after 2004. His goal was to get done what he could. You failed to defend him and what did it get you?

Clinton could have been removed from office and the 2000 election could have been for the GOP what 1974 was for the Dims, but the Dims wisely held their noses and defended the indefensible. And it save them some losses. But conservatives could not rally around an excellent president because of the heat from the left. Again what did you and others allowing G.W.Bush's reputation be run down get you?

Well then I guess you figured not defending Bush on areas you agree with him was the way to go? That worked out pretty well for you didnt it, since the next president will be either McCain or Obama? Think about what I said about the Dims holding their noses and closing ranks with Clinton that is how you incrementally make things better term after term.

Freepers nor anyone else could help Bush who couldn’t help himself. Reagan didn’t look to FR to help him face off against Liberals or his critics.

GWB had every reason in the world to defend himself after 2004. The Congressional losses in 2006 are were reason enough. Bush let the MSM and Liberals trash him and his policies which led to GOP losses. The leadership of the GOP and the Congressional Republicans can share in that guilt. Don’t try to throw any guilt my way or towards Freepers who didn’t blindly defend Bush when he refused to defend himself.

You are forgetting one thing. The people did not choose these candidates. If anything; they were forced upon us.

I am going to disagree with you. None of these candidates were our choice and we do not deserve the blame that they are there.

Let’s see:

1. I was alive and adult during Reagan’s second term. He was trashed every bit as much as Bush. He was not one to defend himself much. Despite his signing an immigration bill, cutting and running in the middle east and signing several tax increase, he was not completely trashed by conservatives. Of course maybe that was due to there not being a FR for people here to trash him or maybe that generation of conservative pundits were not hoping for the next DC cocktail party invite?

2. Certainly there are things G.W. Bush might have done. That is not the point. He will soon be a retired president and remind me again who did our acquiescence to running down our relatively conservative president get us as a nominee this time?

IMO, conservative doesn’t apply to Bush. This pathetic nominee was given to us by the MSM and DemoRATS voting in our primaries. I know of absolutely no one that wants McCain. I’ve been a Republican since 1968 and I actively worked in politics for nine years and NEVER, NEVER, NEVER have I been more disgusted with a nominee.

See the link? Trash the relatively conservative guy you have and you don't get a more conservative nominee, you get a less conservative nominee. Congratulations.

It is obvious that you and I will NEVER agree. I don’t accept the blame for Bush’s mistakes nor do the other Freepers that didn’t buy into all his policies and his lack of defending himself. You and I will have to live with the consequences of whatever is to come. IMO, it ain’t gonna be pretty. My grandchildren will have to live in the screwed up world that is coming along with a slow decline in our freedoms thanks to Liberals, the MSM, and gutless politicians. Ain’t gonna be pretty and ain’t gonna be like anything we’ve had before. My father, who was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War, is turning in his grave along with millions of veterans that sacrificed to protect and defend this country and our freedoms.
