I hope you'll be happy with a liberal SCOTUS for the next decade or so.
Of course, we have no guarantee that McCain will pick the type of judges we want. But we know for sure that Clinton and Obama won't.
He didn’t say it, one of the writers at National Review suggested it as a way to secure support from the base.
I dunno...Google McCainn term, lots of aticles on the subject.
exactly.
I dunno...Google: McCain one term, lots of aticles on the subject.
Mr McCain. You’ve got until November to sell me. I make no promises to you except that I will listen to what you have to say.
I received another appeal from the McCain campaign today, so I went to the web site, clicked the “contact” button, and composed the message that follows below. But the only response to clicking “send” was an error message from the site and instructions to again access the site.
I NEVER give money without words to go along with it, so his chances of receiving a penny from me are zero, at least until the most important part - what WE have to say - of his web site is fixed.
Message:
Today we find yet another contribution request from your campaign in our email - and once again, we will NOT comply. We list the reasons below:
1. Your campaign is indolent, timid, and half-hearted. You fail to display the courage and toughness that ought to be your hallmark. You ignore - and even worse, echo - your opponents attacks on you, your allies and your party, and fail to defend even your own views and policies with vigor.
2. The extraction and use of embryonic stem cells - for research OR treatment - is an obscenity fully equivalent to cannibalism. Further, it is a blind alley in terms of treatment or cure of human diseases and conditions. It ought to be banned, both on moral grounds and to channel stem cell research into differentiated (adult) cells that can actually benefit humanity instead of providing a career to dead-end researchers.
3. You seem to have joined your opponents in the Al Gore sycophant claque. CO2 is NOT a pollutant; Global warming is at BEST unproven, and clearly called into question by the latest evidence of sea temperatures. Furthermore, the “contribution” from human activity is far less than the noise level of natural variation. The transportation fuel of the future will be light liquid hydrocarbons, virtually identical to today, because these molecules store hydrogen more efficiently, safely, and conveniently than ANYTHING else being touted today. Our challenge is to find or manufacture new sources, without impacting our agricultural food supplies. “Going Green” is misdirection and distraction.
4. This is MY Country, and NO politician has the right to cheapen my citizenship by giving US CITIZEN rights and benefits to invaders. We have the right to know the name, origin, and status of EVERY person that enters this Country, and we have the right to control the activities of any non-citizen within our borders - to deny benefits, services, employment, and even civil rights (as distinct from human rights.) Close the borders - FIRST! We need high fences, but open gates for qualified immigrants who abide by the law. Require employment eligibility verification for all new hires by all employers, followed by the same verification for current employees in 12-18 months. Investigate employers who hire illegals, and put them in JAIL, along with anyone using fraudulent documentation!
5. RENOUNCE amnesty for illegals, and require their voluntary self-deportation in order to be eligible for citizenship at any time in the future.
Very true, profound, and sad statement.
That is a point that needs to be hammered...one that I do not hear often enough...way to go!!
A vote for McCain would be easier to sell as a vote against Obama.
That is the way I see it... on a grander scale.
At least Arnold can act a little.
But that is debatable. ;-)
Damn, I have not laughed this hard since the RP threads...
I’m in the middle of reading Jonah Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism. One of the points the book makes is Teddy Roosevelt was not a consevative. Of course, neither is John McCain.
BTTT
I’m willing to wait, and let McCain earn my vote in 2012. This time around, I’ll find someone a little more deserving.
As far as I see it.John McCain is toast unless he has a highly respected conservative Vice President.Otherwise I can’t stand any of the three Socialist.
I refuse to vote for a candidate just because he has an (R)in front of his name.Every time McCain opens his mouth I hear more reasons to stay home on election day.
I think we’re there already.
No thanks.
Nothing personal FRiend, I respect your right to make that choice, but..........
no.
