CIA, the DoD Africa Command, the FBI and the US State Department.
Hahahaha, yeah, paragons of the truth. Using the the State Department really made me laugh.
Right now, radical Islamists, a few of whom do have ties to Al Qaeda, represent the only credible alternative to the Ethiopian occupation.
There's just no way of getting through to you, is there? First you talk about the ICU, I show you where al qaeda are members in that very court and you switch gears, again. Radical islamist with ties to al qaeda is a 'credible alternative' to the Ethiopian army? You got it bad, real bad.
I'm not sure why you're trying to pick a fight with me. My point is simply that the US has a significant interest in making sure Somalia is stable and not run by Al Qaeda, because as long it's unstable it poses a national security threat.

And what are your sources? What's your problem?

Yes, the ICU are the only credible alternatives in the eyes of the Somali public, which is why they're still getting support and the provisional government is floundering. I don't like that -- I agree it's a problem -- and that's precisely why the US needs to find a credible alternative.
