It will be a disaster. When Obama receives less criticism than John McCain here you know something’s not right.
When they had the ball, they fumbled. Stood only for reelection, nothing else. Spent like Democrats. Party needs revamping from the top, down.
Duh. Our choices are a democrat and a democrat. For some reason, there’s a lot of people on FR that think McCain is practically God on Earth because he has an R next to his name.
Hey! Look at his R! Nevermind his policies. In fact, I will ignore all his past policies and believe with full faith he’s become a conservative in February 2008!
Of course, nevermind the fact that he can’t keep his liberalism in check STILL and reflexively criticizes Republicans!
All hail McCain! He is Lord! He can do no wrong! Worship the R!
“It will be a disaster. When Obama receives less criticism than John McCain here you know somethings not right.”
Here at FreeRepublic it seems that McCain and Mormons are bad words. Hope people here like Black Liberation Theology, Kwanza and Al Sharpton picking supreme court justices.
I just don’t see Obama winning. I can easily see McCain faced with an overwhelming opposition Democrat majority in both houses, though.
I think the Mississippi election next week will tell us a lot. The Louisiana race was kind of unique in that Woody Jenkins was a truly awful candidate, who many Republicans absolutely refused to support. The seat may very well flip right back to the GOP in November, assuming they can find someone besides Jenkins to run for it. If the MS race also goes Democrat, that will be significant.
This is lunacy. Why would Republicans be worried about losing to RATS? The only answer would be that we have an electorate so stupid they can't figure out that these high energy prices are the fault of Democrats who do everything they can to prevent us from having more supply.
RATS are so stupid they believe that a "windfall profit tax" will help drive down the price of gasoline when in fact it will do just the opposite. Think gasoline is too cheap? Elect RATS.
Apparently you don't read the anti-Obama threads on FR. On the other hand McCain does receive a lot of criticism, mainly because he is a left wing Rino and not a conservative.
He is supposed to be a republican but most of his ideals are not conservative, we expect a**hats such as Obama to be marxists, they are Dems, we don't expect the candidate for the Republican party to be a marxist, which McCain appears to be in many of his thoughts and statements. He has thrown the conservatives under the bus but he, and guys like you, expect us conservatives(not neocons but real conservatives)to stand by him while we try to heal the tire marks.
Follow Newt’s ‘94 plan. Unify around an agenda which will rally voters not blast them with accusations. Stop flirting with 3rd Party disasters. Realize that ole John , while flawed, is the candidate and is not , not as liberal nor is he a socialist pacifist like Obama.
