Lefties want Hilllary Clinton out swooner than later [Howie Carr]
Boston Herald ^ | May 7, 2008 | Howie Carr

Posted on 05/07/2008 2:35:55 AM PDT by Aristotelian

This Barack-Hillary Show has jumped the shark.

Week after week, the same old same old. It’s gotten more tired than a Paula Abdul meltdown on “American Idol.” He wins one, she wins one.

Barack’s people say, “They’re raising the bar!”

Hillary’s minions say, “They’re moving the goalposts.”

And America is changing the channel.

Don’t the Democrats understand? This is May, a ratings sweeps months. You put your best new episodes on. Instead, we’re getting reruns from February.

“Yes we can!” Obama said last night. Hey, isn’t this is where we came in?

Actually, these next few days are going to be a terrible time for Hillary Clinton. The title of our next episode is, “Get Out Already, Hillary!” It becomes ever clearer just how much the mainstream media is in the satchel for Barack Obama. It’s not just Chris Matthews who gets a tingle up his leg when he hears Barack. They all swoon.

And now they are going to demand that Hillary quit. The din will be incessant. They want to get down to what they consider the real Lord’s work, bashing John McCain. The trust-funded Ivy Leaguers of the press corps want to make the Rev. John Hagee the same household word that Jeremiah Wright has become.

The Clintons know this. Why do you think Paul Begala sounded so bitter on CNN last night?

“We cannot win with eggheads and African-Americans,” he said. “That’s the Dukakis coalition.”

Comparing Barack to Mike Dukakis - you can’t get any further below the belt than that. That’s worse than comparing him to John Kerry, or Al Gore.

It’s left to talk-show callers - not even hosts, but callers - and guys that don’t care anymore like Jackie Mason to raise the obvious question: What if the white vote in North Carolina had gone 91 percent for Hillary?

Do you think the media would be swooning? Would Chris Matthews be getting a tingle in his leg?

Just the merest thought of Chris Matthews getting a "tingle" ANYwhere within five cubic meters of his wretched body is enough to make me long for a nice, long shower in warm battery acid. ;)

Mother or all Ironies - Howie Carr goes on and on about Chris Mathews swooning over Obama.

Yet he fails to realize that he himself is slobbering all over Hillary.

Howie’s great on local politics and exposing the corrupt, socialist agenda of MA DemocRATS... but “challenged” when he attempts to analyze the big picture. Case in point... he was gung-ho for McCain back in 2000.

The Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy is taking Hillary down.

I heard Randi Rhodes beating up on Hillary saying the only way she can win is to cheat, but if she does cheat and win, she'd still vote for her cause Republicans are evil.

Howie has been ‘phoning it in’ ever since he screwed up his contract with WTKK and had to stay at WRKO. Even his local stuff is pretty weak; plus he seems to get 1 week vacation out of every 6 weeks. His replacements usually are pretty weak themselves. I get the feeling that he’s really trying to ‘pimp’ himself into a national TV gig and wants to get out of Boston.

Given that WTKK hired Imus for what was going to be Howie’s morning slot, he’s really lucky that the court decided for WRKO.

Yep, and the Dem candidates have to continue to pander to the whacky left, turning off moderate voters even more.

I'll agree with the last part...

Against the backdrop of the MSM “drop out Hillary!” drumbeat, Hillary will quietly pile up victory after victory in the remaining primaries. The justification for her dropping out will become weaker and weaker. There’s every reason to believe that she will be in this until the convention, which is probably why the big MSM push is now.

Sorry to go off topic, but your use of the phrase "phoning it in" reminded me of something I once heard Gordon Liddy say on his radio show, back in the mid-'90's.

He was talking about his new "boss," who IIRC was the president of Infinity Broadcasting. Liddy was complaining that he never saw the guy; apparantly, the previous president had been more available to him.

Anyway, Liddy said that he never saw the guy, that he "phones everything in." Then he said "he's got a new young wife and for all I know he phones it in to her too."
