Democratic pundit Bob Beckel strongly suggested earlier this evening on Fox News that Gary, Indiana democratic operatives were corrupt. Beckel said, and I don't think he was kidding, that he had once asked, in connection with an Indiana democratic primary election, an unnamed mayor of Gary when that city's votes would be reported. The unnamed mayor supposedly replied to Beckel that he would send them in as soon as he was told how many were needed.
It was interesting to hear Beckel talk about this. He seemed to think it was a given that vote fraud is just a fact of life; a part of the election process.
That there are power brokers who totally disenfranchise your/my honest vote puts me in a postal frame of mind.
Honest elections used to be the "shining star" of the American political experience.
Obviously, not any longer.
