Wright's UCC is "independent". It's also quite clearly post-Christian.

Much more like Jim Jones' operation than anything else.

If you want to call Wright's church in Chicago that I'm not going to argue with you.

However if you are classifying all UCC Churches that way you have your head stuck even further where the sun doesn't shine that I said in my first post.

You came into the conversation a little late. All that had been said IN MY FIRST POST on the topic.

From some points of view within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) the UCC fellows within COCU are not sufficiently Christian for joint services and recognition of baptisms. For others, they're OK.

It's not like I have no idea what UCC is.

On the other hand, Rev Wright's church is not part of UCC ~ it is, instead, it's own denomination ~ Trinity UCC.
