Authorities Crack Down on Campus Drug Ring (75 students arrested)

Police have arrested 96 people – 75 of them students – in a drug bust at San Diego State University, law enforcement sources say.

Police picked up the individuals for charges stemming from possession and sales of cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and other drugs.

Authorities say among those arrested was a student who worked as an employee of the campus police and was one month away from graduating with a masters degree in Homeland Security. Another suspect found with 500 grams of cocaine and two guns is a criminal justice major.

As part of the investigation, the Drug Enforcement Agency and San Diego State University police say they infiltrated seven fraternities on campus, finding that most or all of the members were aware of the drug dealing activity in their organizations.

Law enforcement sources gave one example of a fraternity member who sent a text message to his "faithful customers," alerting them that he and his "associates" were headed to Las Vegas for a few days and would be unavailable for transactions – but in the message he allegedly sent, he mentioned "sale" prices on cocaine.

Those two would fit right in with some law enforcement agencies.

“Not exactly a first tier institution.”

Heck, the Harvard and Yale crowd was probably selling the drugs (bow heads in reverence to Obama and the other loosers).

A certificate, which provides the bearer with two special privileges(i) Guaranteed executive pay for life at the government trough, and (ii) exemption from the onerous laws and snooping that the bearer and his associates will visit on the citizens of the U.S.A

My guess. A course funded by the government and available to "minorities" in a number greater than normal enrollment. What would they teach those seeking that degree? Who cares as long as they can make "Homeland Security" look as if they are doing something.

“Not exactly a first tier institution.”

Excuse me. San Diego State has historically been ranked among the top college party campuses, in the entire country.

Sounds like there will be a lot of anxiety on that campus for a while. Until that vacuum is filled. Local pharmacies should benefit as students hit the clinics, MDs and shrinks and Rx psychotropics like Prozac, Xanax and the like are passed out like candy to take the edge off.
