Albanians do have an independent state. It's called Albania. They don't deserve it, because they are morons, but it exists. What can you say about a country where just about everyone lost their life savings on Ponzi schemes? Bizarre doesn't even come close.
I’d say that living for 50 years under extreme Communism made everyone extremely naive about how free market societies worked.
