Where did I say I was a Buchanan delegate? You tend to jump to conclusions, as evidenced by this thread. And obviously you DON’T understand party machinations.

Hate to break the news to you, Paul is not a Republican but a Libertarian and so are most of his supporters. Many of what are now thought of as "libertarian" positions by Republican "party people" are traditional conservative positions. The Republican party was not always socialist, you know, and FR is not a Republican forum.

Paul is not a Republican but a Libertarian and so are most of his supporters. He may BE a Libertarian but he's a REGISTERED Republican.

Your post lent more credence to my claim versus your weak handed slap at me. Give up your mind reading job because you are pretty pitiful at it.

“Hate to break the news to you, Paul is not a Republican but a Libertarian and so are most of his supporters.”
What matters here is not the philosophy, but the party registration. These folks are just as Republican as any of the closet socialists swho happen to be supporting Sen. McCain.

“Loyalty oaths to John McCain being required by the Mo. GOP?”
No. Just Republican-socialism in action. To paraphrase a quote attributed to Josef Stalin: “Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything.”

Hate to break the news to you but Republicans(establishment) are barely different than Democrats these days. The Republicans have abandoned conservatives and libertarians.
To: Cyclone Conservative
Hate to break the news to you Paul is more inclined to support Obama (per Paul’s own words less than a week ago), the most liberal and socialist senator in the senate, than McCain, who does support most conservative causes. What does that make Paul than and those that support him?

"..Paul is not a Republican but a Libertarian.."This old saw needs to be exposed for the BS it truly is.
Can you name at least two Republican former Presidents who were originally registered Democrats before converting to Republican?
According to your flawed thinking, one would need to be born into a political party in order to be a member.
As I said: BS on that one.

I can name the most important former one, Reagan. Reagan was a registered democrat early in his political career. Reagan abandoned the democrat beliefs. Paul has always been a Libertarian and anyone that says otherwise, is not being truthful or not fully educated on the facts. Paul's own congressional staff, his campaign leadership all talk and walk like Libertarians. Isolationism, antisemitism and surrender are traits only a few conservative Americans appreciate. Paul wraps himself in them.

“now its basically a witch hunt for Ron Paul supporters at state conventions”
That’s because the brownshirts err paultards have openly stated on their message boards that they will infiltrate the state conventions in order to rig the national convention in favor of that two faced lying cut and run coward from Texas.
In other words they seek to undermine the will of the people.

Post and threads galore throughout FR, and I have responded on many of them. Your name does not ring a bell on the hundreds of threads and posts I have debated. Read up. FR carries many of Paul's worsts moments.

Only out of political convenience. That may be, but he is still a registered Republican.
He has an 'R' after his name, not an 'L'

I would assume these people have been challenged by someone in their county.
According to comments on that site some of those challenged were McCain voters. All it takes is someone filling out the paperwork to bring about a challenge.
I didn't get a letter, guess no one is opposed to me going. When I show up in my rhinestone FReeper tshirt they may change their minds though. LOL

That is not a nice way to talk about Fred Thompson.

I’ll ask it again:
“Ron Paul supporter delegates being called to a special meeting to disprove allegations that they dont support McCain.
What is the purpose of that? Are not delegates free to vote for whomever they like?”
