So sad about Eight Belles, we had to turn it off.

Yes, it was so sad. The veterinarian at the track said it was nearly unheard of for a horse to sustain such severe injuries to both front legs. He said there were plenty of cases in which a horse might be sore, but not two broken ankles.

Now they're saying it's the fault of the track. That synthetic tracks prevent that.
And PETA says the jockey is responsible.

Just horrible they are trying to find scapegoats for an unusual tragedy.
