Well you took the pix didn’t you or you know who did...
don’t you know who they are?
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/agency/usaf/201rh.htm
he 201st is a 235-member, highly mobile, rapidly deployable, self-supporting construction team with one-third of its personnel in the vertical construction trades, one-third heavy equipment operators and one-third support function personnel.
No chain pulling as your links indicate. BUT it looks like that same POS crap that was up before instead of the high tech fencing with the patrol road. BP can’t see through it and while it is better than nothing, it ain’t the Empire State in 400 days.
yes, they are.
Campo, CA.
Air Force at the Border Ping.
Probably, probably Air Guard. But they are Air Force for sure. The Army rarely wears BDU's anymore, the rank insignia are clearly Air Force (or AF Reserver or Air Guard). Also the unit and command patches on the shirt pockets are the way the Air Force does that. And the unit ball caps in place of BDU pattern caps or helmets also says "Air Force".
US Air Force, AF Reserve or Air Guard. Picture isn't good enough to read the unit patches to tell which. Could even be Air Branch of the Texas State Guard, who wear AF type uniforms, but with a different "service tape" in place of "US Air Force" (even guard and reserve tapes say US Air Force, I've been both)
If they were, they'd probably not be wearing uniforms at all, not in the US, and if they were wearing uniforms, those would probably be ACUs, with a "DA Civilian" tape in place of the "US Army" tape, and no rank insignia.
The guy on our left clearly has subdued *blue* USAF stripes, Master Sergeant to be exact, and his units "first shirt", "top" by the diamond above the star. Like this, only blue subdued:
The Air Force Blue van is also a hint, although I've seen some that have been transferred to Army post support and not yet repainted.
Building roads so that the equipemt and personell can get in to build the fence?
There are AF Civil Engineering units you know. They specialize in repairing runways, but the skills and hardware are little different than that needed to build roads. So, for the AF Reserve or Air National Guard, who wear the same uniforms as USAF, building roads during annual training, would be a Good Idea. You get the road, they get to keep their skills up.
I "hired" an Air Guard unit to help install some cable trays, cables and connectors for my USAF active organization. Two years later, they were still working on it, although they were almost finished, and I was part of the Air Guard unit. :)
I’m thinking they are AF “Red Horse” and they were used under 200th Red Horse squadron in Aug 2007.
Meant to say Operation Jump Start or Diamondback
yeah, dont get your hopes up.
