And remember that GOD gave the baby Jesus to a woman to raise.

I guess GOD might be OK with devoted women helping his people.

Just maybe.

I’d put my flame suit on, but since this is a thread of mostly religious people, I shouldn’t need it.

It’s not an issue of fairness. The Church teaches that the Sacred Priesthood is strictly available to men. This teaching does not demean women in any way, rather this particular role in serving God is not available to them. It is not about exclusion, but about the example of Christ, Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. Women can still serve the Church and people, just not as priests. This in no way demeans them.

He did give Jesus to a woman to raise. He also had many women followers, and many women served the early Church.

He didn’t call any to be apostles, though, did He? Not a one. And that’s from Scripture, without even factoring in Church Tradition.

It isn’t about God loving men more. Men and women simply aren’t called to the same types of service.

Your points are well taken.

That said, you cannot be a female Roman Catholic priest. There is no such thing. She can call herself whatever she chooses, but it does not make it true.
