Peter "Pete" Burns (b. August 5, 1959, Port Sunlight, Wirral, England is a British singer/songwriter and the frontman of the Hi-NRG band Dead or Alive, most famous for their number one single, "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" in 1985. His father is English and his mother was from Heidelberg in Germany.

What a perfect blend.
He got the dominant genes for English eccentricity from his father
and dominant genes for being a self-important poser from his German mother.

He'd have done an even better "Dieter" (the German guy on Saturday Night
Live many moons ago).

(PS: I don't mind the English eccentricity genes...get to see
plenty of that in our local "seed of Albion" in the USA!)
