Poor creature. I’ve known horses like that — not blind but I have known gentle horses that like to trot up and greet people. I can’t imagine how anyone would harm such a gentle, trusting animal. May the perp or perps be kicked and trampled to death by wild horses! Of course, that won’t happen. Probably some teenager with a long history of violence. He will wind up in juvenile court, be given a few months of, I don’t know — self-esteem training. He will emerge from that ready and eager to become a serial killer.

Some 15 years ago a donkey was beaten to death in Bellevue (across Lake Washington, from Seattle) - it was front page news for days.

The girl who was beaten to death, and left in a dumpster the same day, was little more than a paragraph on page 3.

I decided then, the only thing I hated more than animal abusers are people who cry more about animal abuse than murder.
