We were all asking that same question. Maybe we should go back to requiring those run-offs. The Democrats did not get a majority in this contest, it was the Republicans with 2 splinter candidates that deprived us of a win here.
The fall election might be okay, though. Keep in mind that many black Democrats are thinking about running as Independents — that is, they want to bypass the party primary because they realize the Dems. really don’t want them to win. If that happens in the 6th — and there is a good chance that Michael Jackson (no, not that one) will run as an Indep. — then Don Tax-a-you better enjoy his short stay in DC. Of course, that is predicated on a stronger GOP candidate running.
