We had a strong storm system blow through here this morning, so it may have surpressed turnout. That, and the black Democrat who lost the primary has sent out a whisper campaign for black voters to stay home because he plans to run again in November.
I was noticing that at least 2 of the other candidates running are either Conservative or Republican (Hayes & Casey), always troublesome for us when we don’t have a completely unified field on our side. Casey alone (a former Buddy Roemer and Susan Molinari employee) could keep Jenkins from victory.
Hell, Cleo mass called me tonight and begged me to vote for Caz and even offered me a ride. If the call been live I’d axed fo a five to ride to vote Cleo’s jive honky.
