Thank you very much, daisy, for all your
efforts .. ;)

I think Pres. Bush is the Energizer bunny’s
first cousin. He has a reserve of SO much
energy and vitality, it’s amazing.

I can only imagine how emotional and teary
he’ll be at the wedding. Gosh, I wish we
could see a bunch of pictures.

I have a feeling both he and Laura will “give
her away” together. Such an extraordinarily
lovely and close family. I can only wish for
them the the joy and deep, committed lifelong
love and mutual support of her parents. God
bless their marriage and life together.

That’s a cute gesture of the wedding tokens, if
some are a bit tacky. After all, as mentioned,
look at the dozens of mementoes they made for
Charles and Diana .. LOL.

President Bush’s Personal Recession: Jenna’s Wedding

While President Bush acknowledged Tuesday that Americans are experiencing “very difficult economic times,” he failed to mention his biggest personal financial woe: daughter Jenna’s pending nuptials to fiancé Henry Hager.

The cost of the first twin’s wedding has become such a running joke at the White House that Fred Fielding, counsel to the president, recently gave Bush a piggy bank to help him save up for Jenna’s May 10 wedding at the family’s ranch in Crawford, Texas.

Fielding, a former father-of-the-bride who feels the president’s pain, tells the Sleuth Bush thanked him for the piggy bank but joked, “Not big enough.”

Poor Dad. The wedding would have cost him a lot less, of course, had Jenna decided to have it (on taxpayer-funded property) at the White House. Instead, she opted for a more intimate (200 people) and informal wedding on the ranch.

*snip*

The Sleuth hears from good sources in the know that the wedding list was capped at first cousins.

*snip*

*******

Our sources say a White House celebration in honor of the couple is planned for the weekend of June 20. The Sleuth anxiously awaits an invitation... we’ll let you know what happens.

*****

Yay .. there will surely be pictures from that .. ;)

I think with the Princess Di memorabilia, she was so enormously popular that many, many items of her were produced so that has decreased the value, at least in this century.

The old adage comes to mind, don't collect anything unless you enjoy it as you may be stuck with it..(my paraphrasing, lol)

Why did they remove it? The dose is not a commercial thread 99.9999% of the time. People need to know where to buy items that are of interest to them.

I don't find it offensive in the least.

The questioner asked about rising food prices, but said he was asking "partly because I'm hungry."
"By the way, that's a polite way of saying, 'Hey, man, how about cutting it short?' " Mr. Bush said.

LOL! Now that's thinking quick!
