The men you mentioned would get pummelled by today's political consultants and media men
- Jefferson would be denounced as an adulterer,
- Madison as an intellectual lightweight (He only weighed 100 lbs.) and tobacco pusher.
- Washington as a belligerent isolationist
- Lincoln, as a big business lawyer and disrespector of personal property rights

Washington as a belligerent isolationist
Lincoln, as a big business lawyer and disrespector of personal property rights
Let’s not forget
Theodore Roosevelt as nothing more than the fat bully,
or Ronald Reagan - nothing more than an actor. Oops, they already did that.

The men you mentioned would get pummelled by today's political consultants and media men Not likely, as the electorate was much smarter, even if their education level was much lower.
They also had, on the whole, much more honor and morals.
