Illegal Aliens: Hillary’s Flip-Flops Border on Insanity
CFP ^ | Saturday, May 3, 2008 | Jim Kouri

Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton finally agreed to appear on the highly-rated Fox News show The O’Reilly Factor.

Her interview, which was taped earlier this week while she was campaigning in South Bend, Indiana, was broadcast on The Factor over two consecutive nights.

When part two of “Hillary in the No Spin Zone” aired, and she was asked questions on the topics of foreign policy, the War on Terror, and illegal immigration. When Bill O’Reilly turned to the immigration debate, he asked, “Will you shut down sanctuary cities?” Hillary responded, “No, I will not.”

According to a new report from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the illegal immigrant population within the United States currently exceeds 13 million, an estimate that has almost doubled since 2000. Given this increasing trend, Hillary’s response should be frightening to American families, who are forced to live with frequent criminal activity committed by illegals in sanctuary cities. Even during the Senate debate of the Grand Amnesty bill last year, Senator Clinton voted against the Coleman Amendment which would have banned sanctuary cities (Roll Call 177).

“It is an outrage that Hillary Clinton is running to become President of the United States, yet she is openly admitting that she will not enforce America’s laws,” said Eagle Forum Executive Director Jessica Echard.

“Sanctuary city policies put all Americans in danger, and as an elected official, Hillary Clinton is well aware of that fact. Do we really want to elect someone who will enable criminal aliens to roam our streets?” she added

Last August, several African-American college-bound teenagers were brutally murdered while listening to music in a playground in Newark, New Jersey, one of many US sanctuary cities.

O’Reilly should have called her on that point but that line of questioning is way above his capabilities..

We have zero reason to believe that McCain will not revert to form and make 'sanctuary' obsolete!

I don't totally agree.
At the risk of resorting to Macchiavellinism, we know that the "new, moderate" Hillary and Hussein personnas are an attempt to lull the ignorant into a sense of security, wherein their true selves will emerge after they have won. That is a given for me.

The unspoken hope is that McCain is similarly engaged. It is possible.

: )

The following words, which I learned in grade school (6th grade, if I remember right), keep popping into my head when I read FR threads these days...

"Gentlemen may cry 'peace!, peace!', but there is no peace.
The war has actually begun!"

Patrick Henry

Sad that this is what our Republican Party has left us with....
...possibly....and only possibly.

Our ship of state has sunk!

" It is possible. "

It's possible only if the public (grass roots folks because the pol's will surely not do it) holds his feet to the fire 24/7 for four solid years.

I cannot conceive of him gaining access to office and then turning 180 degrees just because he failed on the first try.

If you don’t buy McCain, then you buy marxist-socialism in its pure unadulterated form.

If he wins, he will grant Amnesty to the 20-40 millon+ illegal aliens who reliably vote 70%+ Democrat, even after a Republican President, Ronald Reagan, granted them an amnesty in 1986.

This influx of Democrat voters into our electorate will erase the razor thin margins that the GOP has had in the last several election cycles.

Furthermore, because this action will likely be the last knife in the back that the majority of true conservatives will endure from John McCain and the GOP, this action will force millions of conservatives to either leave the party or simply check out of the process, thereby dooming the GOP to minority status for decades, or much worse, forcing the GOP to go the way of it's predecessor, the WHIGS. In other words, the GOP will disappear and something more honorable will take it's place.

John McCain is a loose-loose situation for the GOP.

And that is just on the Illegal Alien issue.

At least with a Democrat President we would get more of a stalemate on socialist issues because the Republicans would grow a backbone and fight them on everything.

President John "Maverick" McCain however, as his history for the last 7 years has shown, would be far more likely to be unpredicable on conservative issues and compromise or flat-out agree with the Democrats/Liberals in Congress while the Republicans in Congress, much as they did with GWB, will go along completely with John McCain.

1. Gang of Fourteen (Kept some of President Bush’s best judges from being presented for a vote)
2. McCain-Fiengold (Assault on Free Speech and Pro-Life
3. McCain-Kennedy (Amnesty for criminal Illegal Aliens)
4. McCain-Lieberman (50 cents a gallon tax)
5. Total support for global warming scam, including carbo cap and trade system.
6. Support for embryonic stem cell research (Murder of unborn babies).
7. Wants to close Gitmo and give Terrorists access to our legal system.
8. F grade from Gun-Owners of America.
9. C- grade from NRA.
10. 60% score from American Conservative Union in 2006
11. Wants to bail out sub-prime losers (many of which are either illegal aliens or lied on thier applications) with US tax money.
12. Voted against President Bush’s tax cuts (called them tax-cuts for the rich)
13. Flirted with the idea of crossing over to the Dems in 2004.
14. Wants to implement a socialist Health Care proposal that includes providing tax-coffer monies (your tax dollars) to the states to provide Health Care Insurance for those who either refuse to pay for it, or are unable to afford it (mostly illegal aliens).
15. Divorced his wife after he got back from Vietnam. The same woman who remained true to him and raised his kids while he was imprisoned.
16. Refuses to drill in ANWR.

In other words, with McCain, the damage will be two-fold:

1. He will doom the party with his Amnesty plans (and he has said on the campaign trail if an Amnesty plan made it to his desk that as President he would sign it).

2. More of the Liberal Agenda would be accomplished with John "Maverick" McCain.

The unspoken hope is that McCain is similarly engaged. It is possible.

Really?

Using what set of facts or observations about John McCains behavior, choices, and positions on the issues would ever lead you to strongly believe that this is a possibility with even the slightest probability of occurring?

Well Gee, now I’m convinced. There’s so much information here that is valid and new to me. Not.

So please update me on how marxist-socialist Obama/Shrillary will do much better on ANY issue.

Republicans in Congress have 10x better shot standing up to McCain on illegal immigration and on a whole hosts of issues than they will ever have under either Obama or Shrillary.

But please keep on with the Daily Kos strategy. It’s working. Just not on me.

Horrible Hillary is for sanctuary cities, and she voted against barring terrorists from US. No body who gives a damn about this country could vote for her. Her odd smiling and laughter makes me think she has mental issues. There is hardly a topic that does not elicit an stupid grin from her.

The American people have to get up off their asses and take their country back from the elitist pigs controlling it now. The politicians sit there with their thumbs up their asses while these people cost us billions of dollars and thousands of lives every year. This is what we get when we trust corrupt people to do what’s right for the country. Too many people still trust politicians even when the facts show they are lying, cheating scumbags.

Open rebellion?

Unfortunately it WILL be what happens.

Shouldn't be too difficult. After all, there's only 535 of them and at least 200 million of us.

Wrong. A President McCain will provide cover for the RINOs to support amnesty just like Bush did in 2006 when a Rep controlled senate passed amnesty [S 2611] with 23 Rep senators voting FOR the bill, including McCain. It will be easier to fight amnesty if there is a Dem in the WH.

The Dems want this bill passed as a bipartisan measure. They want the Reps to share the political consequences of a bill that will destroy this country with a stroke of a pen. Amnesty is forever. Not only will the status of the 12 to 20 million illegals be legalized, but they will in turn be able to sponsor thru chain migration, i.e., family reunification, another 66 to 100 million LEGAL immigrants over a 20 year period. This will be on top of the 1.2 million legal immigrants that enter the US annually.

I predict either an open rebellion will occur b4 this election or the next president will be impeached AND removed from office. This will happen because of a voter rebellion this year and a new set or legislators will happen.

No you are wrong. Amnesty will pass with either Obama or Shrillary in less than a calendar year. And the Republican minority will not be able to stop it. Period.

The Republicans will be lucky to hold 40 Senators in November, let alone a group strong enough to stop the Democrats from passing amnesty.

You think that with the House, Senate and Oval Office under Rat control passing amnesty will be harder?

Uh no.

Marxist-socialist legislation will be flying through. Flying. And this will be on the short list.

Wrong about what? McCain, Hillary, and Obama all support amnesty. Do you think it won't pass under McCain?

The Republicans will be lucky to hold 40 Senators in November, let alone a group strong enough to stop the Democrats from passing amnesty.

The Senate will pass amnesty. The only real battleground will be in the House. There is a glimmer of hope there with the blue dog Dems. As someone who is an immigration activist involved in lobbying on the Hill, I am quite familiar with the political environment.

You think that with the House, Senate and Oval Office under Rat control passing amnesty will be harder?

Yup, and folks like Roy Beck agree with me. The Dems want this to be a bipartisan bill. And a McCain in the WH will be able to put more pressure on Reps than a Dem will to go along to get along.

Marxist-socialist legislation will be flying through. Flying. And this will be on the short list.

If amnesty passes, the country is finished. Everything else that follows is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Our waiting is surreal.

I believe millions of Americans 'get it'....

..they know...I know...we're sinking fast....

..and still we sit here ..waiting.

We're not jumping ship....we're not trying to take back our country....we're just waiting for the water to rise over our heads....

In truth, we're too tired, too defeated, too weary to mutiny.

And there's no one on the horizon to lead us out of this....although I continue to pray.

We may be in for some very hard times.
