I think one can glean that they intentionally mislead and don’t trust government types at a minimum as far as explaining why they didn’t name parents or gave different answers at different times.
There would be absolutely no doubt which kid was mine.
But I love to hear the rationalizations so please continue.
Just like a lost bag, the state has an interest to return the bag/child to its owner and keep it safe in the meantime.
