Cops love to break doors down - gives them a rush. They should find out first if they are breaking the right doors down.

We have the opposite that happened in Madison, WI. A girl living near the campus called 911 from her cel phone but the dispatcher heard no one on the line and hung up. He/she did not send anyone to investigate, which is usually standard practice in those cases. The girl was found murdered.

Dispatchers are sometimes between a rock and a hard place. It's got to be a difficult to make judgements on the spot (such as it is with our soldiers and police in many cases).

Critics are "always right" because they have the benefit of hindsight.
