On FNC’s site today in the urgent section, Bobby Jindal admitted he was on the short list for VP.
I think it’s too early, but since the US is having an overall and complete FUBAR’d Election ‘08, I’d be thrilled with Jindal.
So it’s not all bad, maybe.
I’ve loved Jindal since his first run for governor.
He’d sure fit the Southern conservative quotient needed for McCain.
I know LA needs him now, but I’d sure love to see him, or Haley Barbour on the ticket.
The Barbour thing isn’t going to happen, though.
That is very encouraging. McCain has promised that the VP will be in the mold of the future GOP. Jindal is probably too inexperienced but it means that they are looking at the things that he represents, youth, integrity, intellectualism, and his experience with entitlements. The other standout that fits this mold is Governor Sanford. Good news all around.

Looks like, right now at least, he’s taking a pass.
At Least To Leno, Jindal Says No
