I keep stopping in today, Drumbo. My son and I had a bunch of errands to do. I wish I'd stayed to hang on for a bit longer!!! I do adore the same music you mentioned. I remember exactly when I purchased my waited-for Pleasure & Pain album! It was loaded with gems! They'd turned a corner on that album, I believe (but I'm no musical-intellectual!). I love their earlier stuff, too; but that P&P stuff was both smooth and earthy at one time. Perfect.

I love that you know so much about wonderful musicians (being one yourself!) May I ask who you were with during the time you played the same gigs as Dr. Hook?

When I watch their YouTube stuff, they do show their quick witted senses of humor!!! I guess part of what fame is, lies in the sense that others like what they see so much that they wish that they could know you more. (Which COULD eat up a celebrity, I guess!)

I used to listen to Dr. Demento in LA from 1972 to about 1975. A very young Weird Al played stuff on there regularly; and my then-husband and I were enthralled. Some of Dr. Hook's rastier stuff was also played, and we didn't realize that they also had this other stuff (We also loved this rastier stuff; but we didn't realize that the band would become definitive for us!). Dr. Demento's show was on Sunday nights, and nothing got in our way.

I have no musical talents...and there is not one "tune" in existance that I can "carry"...but I love music. I am in awe of those who can create it.

Thank you, Drumbo...from my son and myself...and from my daughter (my first weenee and another follower!) with whom I'll share this later!

I'll have to look up "Bermuda" Jon Schwartz! If he's on par, he'll be a music-mine!
