Probably. Interesting side note, Channel 8 TV News here in Dallas has now started referring to them as “illegal migrants” instead of “illegal immigrants.” I have no idea why but the change was very noticeable, all the talking heads were verbally stumbling over it.
They do that every once in a while here too.
Of course, “undocumented workers” is still an old standard in these parts.
An "immigrant" is someone who comes in to take up permanent residence. Perhaps the level of enforcement is now making it harder and harder for someone here illegally to remain here permanently.
