From a thread on Monday afternoon:
Hostile reception for pro-fence congressmen in Brownsville
Posted on Monday, April 28, 2008 5:08:58 PM by SwinneySwitch
"Late in the five-hour hearing, Tancredo returned to a comment made earlier by panelist Betty Perez, a rancher and local activist. Perez said, "It really isn't a border to most of us who live down here."
The 2 mayors owe Congressman Tancredo an apology.

Cut off all Federal aid to Brownsville and Eagle Pass and advise them to get their public assistance monies from Mexico City and you’ll see how fast they can point out the border between the U.S. and Mexico.

They accused Tancredo of committing a "Washington drive-by attack" and suggested that he "grow up." Yeah, Tom- SHUT UP, SIT DOWN, AND GROW UP, mah friend...

The mayors of Brownsville and Eagle Pass said Friday that U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo falsely suggested that they believe there is no border between the two countries.Ugh, every time I see something from McAllen, I cringe. My tagline used to have a quote from a San Antonio councilwoman stating the border was pretty much imaginary.

How about cutting off all federal funding to those towns. They probably suck a good 4-5 times more resources than they provide from the gov.’s coffers.
